More Updates on Pornography..... the band

If you didn't get a chance to pick up the new album - 7 Minutes in Heaven by Ryan Adams' new punk trio - Pornography, you're still in luck. Plenty of copies are still available online as well as for download through iTunes and the link below. (The MP3 versions also feature 2 exclusive bonus tracks - "I'm Not Used to Failure" and "Dirty Cross Dresser")

Amazon MP3 - $6.99

The rambunctious lead singer of Pornography - Leah Hennessey has recently been interviewed several times about the group. She claims that 7 Minutes in Heaven is only the tip of the iceberg for new music to come.

A few other interesting tidbits:
Leah first met Ryan Adams at the restaurant she works at in the East Village. They exchanged email addresses, and she told him that she had some "sad bastard music" she was looking to record. Ryan was in New York at the time, to record some punk songs with drummer and old pal - Johnny T. The two had recorded about half of the album, when Ryan called up Leah and invited her down to the studio to sing and write lyrics. The short recording session which comprises 7 Minutes in Heaven marked the first time the group had ever played together (and 2nd time they had met). She described the songs as "very unconscious" and "like sketches". The first song she wrote was "Bald Spot" which is about a time when she ate a dozen weed cookies and lost a chunk of her hair.
