Just in Case You Missed Anything Vol. 12

......After some quiet months, things seems to once again be rolling in the Ryan Adams world. It's hard to believe Ryan played his last show over a year ago! At that point, there were some quiet rumblings about a new studio album, and since then there have been several more, yet still nothing official.

However there is some good news......

-Starting with some new concert dates this summer!! On July 25th, Ryan will be making his first ever appearance at the famous Newport Folk Festival in Rhode Island. The next day, he will be heading to Camden, NJ for WXPN Radio's annual music festival. Both weekend events include appearances by Jenny Lewis and Dawes (which could provide an interesting pairing, since both Adams and the drummer of Dawes - Griffin Goldsmith recently recorded with Lewis).

- A new Ryan Adams demo recently surfaced via Marshall Vore's tumblr page. The epic rocker known as "Mystery Cupcake" features Vore on drums, as well as bassist Tal Wilkenfield, and was recently laid down at Pax-Am Studios. Download it HERE.

- If you haven't heard yet, Mobile Fidelity Labs finally re-released Love is Hell on vinyl. This long awaited edition includes 7 essential bonus tracks from imports and b-sides, and superior sound quality to the original version. Plus "The Shadowlands" features a newly discovered guitar solo, not found on any version prior. These are limited edition, so get them while you still can HERE.

- In the April Issue of Interview magazine, Johnny Depp is interviewed by punk icon Iggy Pop. During the talk, Depp mentions that he has been writing and recording songs with Ryan Adams. He goes on to say: "Ryan is incredibly prolific and he's just a pure soul...... what a talent. I'm amazed by the f*cker".

- On June 2nd, Ethan Johns will be releasing his 2nd solo album in less than a year. Produced by Ryan Adams, The Reckoning was recorded over 2 days last year at Pax-Am Studios. Below is a video of the two talking about the making of the record. Also, if you go HERE, you can get a signed copy of the record for $25.
