Ryan played a memorial service for actor - Garry Shandling. He was joined onstage by Johnny Depp on lead guitar along with several other musicians.

Ryan Adams came out and played guitar on a few songs during this Bob Mould performance. Fred Armisen also made an appearance during the encore - playing drums on the Ramones song - "Beat on the Brat".

6/18 - Telluride Bluegrass Festival, Telluride, CO
Ryan Adams was backed by Nicki Bluhm and the Infamous Stringdusters for a one of a kind show. Originally it was planned as a solo acoustic show but instead was a full-on bluegrass set featuring banjo, fiddle, dobro, mandolin, and stand-up bass. The set featured 2 improv songs ("Blisters are a Turnoff" and "Hold the Peppers"), a whole new version of Dio's "Holy Diver", and a slew of songs that haven't been played in a very very long time ("Pearls on a String" first since 2008, "Tears of Gold" first since 2007, "Trains" first since 2006, "Bartering Lines" and "Chin Up Cheer Up" first since 2011). The members of the Infamous Stringdusters included Andy Hall (dobro), Andy Falco (guitar/mandolin), Jeremy Garrett (fiddle), Travis Brook (double bass) and Chris Pandolfi (banjo).

Unannounced show put on by Judd Apatow. Setlist is unknown but according to Ryan - featured 3 brand new songs, 2 old ones, a cover of "Nutshell" (Alice in Chains), and an improv song called "Travel Bagel" which featured Judd Apatow on guest vocals.

11/17 - Studio A, Capital Records Building, Los Angeles, CA
Ryan and his new band played a private show for Capital employees and press. I haven't come across a full setlist yet but according to a recent article in Mojo, they played all of the songs off the new album except for two. This marks the first time most of these songs have ever been played live. Also it mentioned that Don Was introduced the band.

This was by far one of the most fascinating programs I've come across featuring Ryan Adams. In this hour long interview with Paul Toogood, Ryan Adams breaks down his songwriting process in great detail. He also performs several songs and talks about his early years getting into music.
