European Tour Wrap-Up (7/6-7/16)

Ryan Adams returned to the shores of Europe for his first tour there since the summer of 2015. The band played a wide mix of shows in Portugal, Spain, France, Italy, Croatia, and Germany. The first few gigs of this leg were large festival shows where the group played a more scaled down 13-16 song set. Following that, Ryan Adams and company played headlining gigs at large amphitheaters as well as some of the most beautiful and intimate outdoor venues I've seen (Lake Garda, Italy! woah!).

The band brought a few surprises back into the setlist including "When the Summer Ends", "Am I Safe", "Blue Light", "Halloweenhead", and "English Girls Approximately". "Trouble" was played for the first time since 2015. The group also began to stretch the jamming out further on a medley of "Magnolia Mountain" and "Cold Roses" (ocassionally hitting the 20 minute mark).

I'm still waiting to hear back about one set list (Gaou Island, France) but during the 8 other shows, the group played 39 different songs.
